“Light
yourself on fire with passion and people will come from miles to watch you
burn”
----John Wesley
Passion, to be very particular is one thing that no
one can teach us. It’s something that comes from inside and every individual in
this world, from his/her core is passionate about one thing or the other.
Be it the passion to sing, passion of learning,
passion of acting, passion of advent, etc. every one for sure inculcates a
passion for something in his/her life.
And if anyone says he’s not passionate about
anything then, that’s the biggest liar you’re ever gonna see on the face of the
Earth.
Speaking about passion, if there was a passion that
I would’ve loved to inculcate in myself then it would be ---- passion of
writing and to be more particular----- passion of blogging.
So, from a distant point of view, many feel that
blogging is one of the ultimate and freakin’ cool thing to do, several others
may feel that it’s one of the most trending hotspot which can fill-up their
wallet. ( By the way, It’s in the list of ---‘ top 10 ways to make money’ if you search about the topic on the net).
Thus, it seems very appealing to a huge strata of youth and my case was no
different.
Inspired by that, I started writing my own stuffs
over here and at www.techaholistic.wordpress.com
(that’s my tech-blog).
But sooner than later I myself realized the reason behind,
a painful stat from blogging point of view:
A very popular survey depicts, “more than 90% of new
blogs all over the world don’t even survive 6 complete months”.
In the midst of fancy appeal of blogging, one often
tend to underestimate or don’t think at all about the complications and gruel that comes absolutely free with blogging.
So, the reason why you’re reading the fifth post of
this blog is to understand how difficult survival is for a new blog in this
world.
Through this post I want all of you to live a blogger's life for a few minutes.
All I need is just your 5 valuable minutes to bear
with me and give it a read.
India is still a very orthodoxial and mainstream
nation where to be very honest blogging is still ages away from being counted
as one of the more primary occupation of the strata unlike in countries like –
U.S.A., Germany and a majority of Latin
America.
Now many of you Indy bloggers may disagree with me but
trust me that’s the damn truth.
No matter how great your content is, at the end of
the day it’s all about views when it comes to blogging, obviously you need
people to read what you’ve written, you need them to understand your thoughts
and finally you need them to appreciate or reject (but not ignore) your work.
That’s where the situation heats up, you need to
popularise your blog, you need to sell yourself so that people can turn up in
numbers to view your work.
So, you got your work cut out now – you’ve started a
blog- what you need to do next is now to post quality content (better than
mine) at least once or twice every week and then to work your heart out trying
to polarize the audience and to read what you’ve written.
There are a lot of ways to popularise your stuff
online, speaking about that one thing that I realised and want you to know is
that--- Internet marketing is perhaps the most underestimated and unexplored
area ever as it has got more potential than any real life marketing structure
you can ever think of.
As many ways as there are to fame-up your blog, this
is perhaps the most demanding part of the blog set-up. You need to share it
here and there and it demands you to burn your ass out.
So, now you would feel that I’ve written quality
content and also worked hard trying to make that popular- so, that, perhaps, will be enough to get people to read
my stuff.
But the sad truth is --- the perhaps word in the
above line will never ever get abolished from the statement. No matter how much
you work hard, your success as a blogger depends entirely on outside force, the
externals, the audience who’re gonna read your posts.
That’s what’s the reason behind the gruelling and
onerous nature of blogging.
And in a mainstream nation like ours, this blogging
becomes an even more tough ask.
Now, you can imagine how much risk it involves as
survival of a blog completely depends on the readers (the audience) and not on
the blogger.
You may post a very intellectual and beautiful post
and could still end up at 2-3 views a day or you may not do it all, and could
still rise the counter up to as high as 100-200 views per day.
Now, I may not be a very experienced bloggers as
some of you out there, but one thing that I sure can tell you is that – blogging
as a whole is very topsy-turvy, because at the end of the day it’s not about the blogger, who takes
immense pain in writing and doing all the requisites, but it’s the readers, whose
five valuable minutes run a blog.
The above line is what makes blogging different from
several other fields and this is the speciality of it, the above mentioned (and
self-realised) fact is what thrills a blogger out.
So, as it’s all about you guys, I humbly urge you
guys to devote your few valuable minutes in reading a quality stuff and thus
help the individuals, known as blogger, in keep nourishing and nurturing his passion for blogging as it’s all
about your five minutes.
So, the next time you come across a blog feed in facebook, reddit or any other social site, do keep in mind the passion involved in the making of that post before scrolling down.
Hope you were connected throughout and yes......
“Thanks
For Your Valuable Time”
